The questionnaire: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1cjrKXHBFNwXbmUmsTxMW8RSEtN-Qgcvy1ymH9Df2mZA

I made a questionnaire to gauge the real situation of food waste among ordinary Indians and the reasons behind this situation. The results were not very surprising, and they are recorded in this infographic.
  • 88.9% people were below the age of 21, 7.4% were between the ages of 21 and 50 and 3.7% were above the age of 50.
  • Majority eat out about 4 times a week.
  • Most people buy packaged food more frequently than eating out any given week,
  • Majority leave little to quite a bit of food on their plates.
  • Majority leave food on plates because it has gone bad or doesn't suit their tastes.
  • Most people thought of themselves as semi-impulsive buyers when it comes to buying packaged food.
  • Packaging influences a consumer's buying habits quite a lot.
